Patterns of end of life care in England, 2008 to 2010
28 April 2014
This report summarises some of the key indicators from the National End of Life Care Intelligence Network's 2012 local authority profiles at Public Health England (PHE) region and centre levels.
The report presents some high level trends designed primarily to give PHE region and centre colleagues an overview of the data for their areas. It focuses on the main indicators and highlights geographical variation in demographics for cause of death, place of death, care home provision and income deprivation.
The findings will also be of interest to those involved in planning or delivery of end of life care.
As the report focuses on selected indicators and variation, it does not report the data for all local authorities. This can be found in the Local Authority Profiles 2012.
